Hanover
County NAACP
We invite all to join us as we celebrate in unity the heroes of Hanover Public school desegregation.. For the first time in 60 years, the Hanover 8 will be recognized by our Hanover County School board for being the first to integrate Patrick Henry and the then Lee Davis High schools. At the request of the Hanover County NAACP, the school board agreed the students deserved to be honored for their sacrifices. We are grateful to former school board member, Mrs. Ola Hawkins for presenting this challenge to our school board on our behalf.

We need your help! We still have work to do!
